Card Swap

Submission to Mizzizz Game Jam.

Play poker against an opponent while trying to secretly cheat at the game.

Instructions -

Goal - To deplete the enemies life total.

The game is divided into several rounds. 

Deal cards, discard, cheat, bet, reveal.

Deal/Discard - When the player gets their cards they can choose to discard any number of them for new cards.

Cheat - After the player gets their full set of cards they can opt to cheat using anything that they previously purchased. They must be careful though as if the enemy player is looking at them while they attempt to cheat then it will count as an automatic lose for the player.  The player can buy things to cheat with at the start of the game before they click deal.

Bet - After the player is comfortable with their hand they can choose to then bet with the enemy player. 2 is the minimum bet for the player and they can only bet as much as they have life.

Reveal - At the end of the round of cards the player with the best hand wins. The winner earns their bet back as money and the loser loses their bet as health. If the player ever loses all their health then they lose the game.

Shop - The shop can be accessed before  any cards have been dealt and their are two options that  the player can choose to buy. 

Spare Card - This option costs 6 gold and gives the player access to a spare card they can use to swap into the game. To use it click on the spare card and then click on one of the cards in your hand for 3 seconds. Afterword the card will be swapped out with the one in your hand. 

Sneek Peek - This option costs 8 gold and gives the player access to a Xray potion that will reveal a random number of cards in the enemy hand. Click and hold for 3 seconds to activate.

If at any point the player is caught cheating with either of these abilities it will be counted as a loss against them.
